Grasp what you have in your hands - An exciting business to be in.

Well, I haven't "blogged" for a while... I have been so busy with my Forever Living business that I no longer feel like a "newbie"

The last six month have been a whirlwind!

The week before my PAO (periacetabular osteomy) I started my business under the umbrella of Forever Living. The last time I had this surgery I was up and driving at 5weeks so thought that I could get myself used to the business in my recovery time  and then I would be ready to "GO GET IT"... I couldn't have been more wrong.

The healing process is still happening several months on, I have been plagued with pain, stress fractures and my car has had major problems too BUT... I DID IT! I have my own business...

How... I just DID IT! what ever it took...I got on with it!

I talked to staff in hospital, used the products...they bought them.

My carers post op saw the products and started using them too.

I spent the three months in bed building my facebook pages and building relationships with people in a way that I hadn't time for before. https://www.facebook.com/aloerecruitment1?fref=ts and https://www.facebook.com/peanutchops1?fref=ts

I joined networking groups on line and am now joining networking lunches to expand my contacts.

I put product baskets in peoples homes, schools and places of work and people bought the products.

I sent my husband to work armed with leaflets and samples...i now have regular customers through this and above methods.

In a very short space of time I had a handful of regular customers...earning me an extra £200plus a month...WOW! what a difference that made, I used that to start paying a cleaner to free up more time to heal and spend on my business and be with my children.

NOW, the exciting part...
During that time the people I had been selling to, friends on facebook, even staff at the hospital have started contacting me. They wanted to know more about the business...so I told them! I very quickly had a global team with 6 people in it. This was a new challenge for me and with the help of my up line in Forever Living I have been developing my skills and am now mentoring my team to grow their own businesses. All of them are beginning to duplicate what I am doing. As they recruit people into their own teams and I continue recruiting into mine we ALL grow. We are a team! We all help each other and share skills and ideas. We get together for training and weekly webinars. We all want the same thing! Freedom and Time to do the things we want and go to the places we have dreamt of.

You can do all this too... Join my team and I will mentor you in how you can grow your business. Grasp the future which is in your hands - set yourself free in a way you wouldn't believe possible

clean9 and nutrilean I have lost 28lb in 60days

Clean 9 Detox Review - Claire's Story

After hearing and reading many success stories about Forever's Clean 9, I decided to be barave and give it a go. As a distributor of Forever Living Products it is important to be able to give first hand experience of the product.
ALSO having been inactive due to hip dysplacia i had put on a lot of weight. I went into hospital for hip surgery May 19th 2014 and decided to use this as my start date. May as well do something useful during my recovery which was going to take at least 12 weeks.

Preparing For The Clean 9 Programme

It is recommended that you reduce your intake of stimulants a couple of days before starting the detox to minimize any of the possible side effects of withdrawal but instead of the 3-4 cups of coffee I normally drink every day, I think I cut it to 2 cups on the day before I started...followed by 12 hours pre-op of water only

I also checked my BMI which you can do here http://www.440500018943.myforever.biz/nutrilean/calculators/bmi.html

My starting BMI was 30.11 - obese

Starting Clean9 - The first two days

The first 2 days of the Clean 9 program consist of drinking lots of aloe vera gel and taking both the garcinia and bee pollen supplements as well as drinking lots of water.

There is also 1 protein shake to drink at lunch time but no other eating.

Days 1 and 2

Day 1 went very smoothly.  I missed the act of physically eating and would be lying if I said I didn't feel a little hungry when it got to the evening but i declined the sandwich offered by the hospital.
Day 2 was a little more difficult but I was determined to follow the Clean 9 instructions exactly so I distracted myself with other things as much as I could. I had a slight headache on waking up .The headache lessened when I drank some water and applied Aloe Heat to my temples. Obviously I was still in hospital at this point with a catheter, I took full advantage of this and drank litres of water. Despite being in pain i noticed that my skin was already clearer and when the surgeon popped in to see me my healthy glow was commented upon.

Read more about clean9 here http://www.440500018943.myforever.biz/nutrilean/step-2/clean-9.html

Days 3 - 9

Day 3 could be described as "exciting" - as I got to taste the protein shake which was delicious! I went for the Chocolate shake, it is also available in Vanilla

I've  had  protein shakes before as meal replacements during Crohns flare ups so I wasn't surprised how full I felt after drinking it. I also got to eat a 600 calorie meal for dinner which consisted of a fillet of chicken, vegetables and mashed potatoes. Luckily the hospital I stayed in has lovely food and catered for my dietary needs.
The following 6 days were busy with getting out of bed and attempting to walk with crutches. I left the hospital on day 5 and came home to a meal of lasagne cooked by my daughter...not the lowest fat meal i know but it was delicious. As my body was healing from surgery I was allowing myself the odd extra allowance as protein is great at promoting healing.
I got to day 9 and attempted the stairs with crutches to reach the bathroom scales. Balancing was hard and at first i thought that i had lost about 60lbs...BUT, NO, I was leaning on the crutches!! I gradually altered my position and let go of the crutches....I had lost 11lb. I would have jumped for joy if Icould have done.

Days 10 - present
Day 10 and 11 I kept to the diet (nutrilean follow on programme) but I did allow myself a fair few choccies given to me by my lovely visitors. I soon got on track again. Sometimes I played with the calories a little and had some of them at lunchtime and the rest in the evening. At day 60 i had lost 28lbs. I am so thrilled...it has taken me two months, I feel healthier and have more energy. I have had to buy clothes two sizes smaller.

So, how did I do? Well, I lost 28lbs bringing my BMI to a healthy 24.84  I still have half a stone I would like to lose. I am beginning to walk more now and hope that by having more exercise and eating healthily i will lose the remaining lbs and tone up too.

This is me now - To find out more about clean9 and nutrilean or to order yours click here http://www.440500018943.myforever.biz/nutrilean/index.html

Don't be fooled by companies offering get rich quick schemes...if they worked we would all be doing them!

Setting up your business with Forever Living couldn't be easier and there is really good support from sponsors (the person who introduced you to the business) and the wider Forever community. There is brilliant training, an online tool kit and even your own website :-)

The products are fab and sell themselves...BUT...you need to be willing to work. Like i said, this is not a get rich quick scheme, this is a business opportunity

So...the 10 reasons

3. Puts YOU in control of your income and your career. YOU get to choose how much you work, earn and move up from assistant supervisor through to managing teams of distributors.

4. ALL products carry a company financed, 60 day money back guarantee...so no risk to YOU or your customers.

5. Flexible - start part time and build up a full time income. You may already have a client base, particularly if you have a health/beauty background...but you will be surprised how quickly you can build a client base through family, friends or just a friendly natter on the bus with a random stranger.

Is Bee Pollen Natures Speed??

 Bee Pollen
Pollen is the male fertilising component of plant reproduction. Bees gather it and bring it back to their hives for food. Without Pollen, plants, trees and flowers could not exist. EVEN WE DEPEND ON IT! wipe out the Bee and we are all done for!

Bee Pollen provides a wide spectrum of essential nutrients all required to maintain perfect health.
*ALL vitamins of B-complex
*Vitamin C
*also contains Vitamins D, E and K
*Beta -carotene (vitamin A)
*Many trace elements (calcium and phosphorous in almost perfect 1:1 ratio)
*enzymes and co-enzymes
*plant source fatty acids
*22 amino acids (including the eight "essential" amino acids that the body cannot manufacture itself)
*carbohydrates
 *energy booster
*aids digestion
BEE POLLEN CONTAINS MORE NUTRIENTS PER CALORIE THAN ANY OTHER NUTRITIONAL  SUPPLEMENT!  WOW!

Another WOW! is that the human body could survive on Bee Pollen alone with just the addition of water and fibre...I bet all the doomsday preppers have stashes of it!

Boosts energy and stamina, and assists in maintaining a healthy circulatory, digestive, immune and nervous system. A great multi-vitamin and multi-mineral supplement that is easily absorbed. Ideal to take during the Summer months when the pollen count is high.

Bee pollen is one of Forever Livings popular supplements as it is a natural energy booster and known as 'legal speed'. Even Victoria Beckham tweeted last month that she is obsessed with bee pollen. Read the following article to see what all the fuss is about. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2612255/Victoria-Beckham-reveals-latest-superfood-fad-BEE-POLLEN-earth-does-whys-creating-buzz-beauty-world.html

Buy Forever Livings Bee Pollen for increased energy and as a brilliant multi-vitamin and multi-mineral product....The way super market prices are going at the moment STOCK UP...it will be cheaper than buying food one of these days...and grow your own veg too :-)

Eczema and Aloe Vera Products

There are two types of eczema, the type that comes from within which is known as endogenous and, more commonly, exogenous, a result of external factors such as allergy or irritants. Eczema from irritants is usually referred to as dermatitis.
Juvenile (childhood) eczema is known as 'atopic' eczema

Eczema is an inflammatory condition which can be:-

a) sudden onset, i.e acute with blister formation and weeping ('wet eczema')
                                                                or
b)chronic and dry with thickened patches and very itchy

50% of children with atopic eczema (linked also to asthma and hayfever) grow out of it but the remainder go on to develop the chronic form.

There is a long list of possible atopic dermatitis triggers.  They range from dust and allergy all the way to stress.  Doctors believe its cause can be many linked to an abnormal function of the immune system.  There has even been one research study linking eczema to an overgrowth of Candida.  People who have tried to reduce their candida in the digestive tract have significantly improved their symptoms.  Often a diet high in acidic foods especially sugars and flours can easily cause an overgrowth of candida without giving us specific symptoms.  Too many unhealthy food choices also cause an overload of toxins.  Too many toxins can also lower the immune system’s function.

I guess we all know several people who suffer from eczema. It can be more than sore, itchy and unsightly...it can also affect the way we feel about ourselves, our moods and our mental health if left untreated.

So, how can Aloe Vera help you or your friend or family member?

Aloe Vera a long list of incredible healing benefits.  It wouldn’t therefore be a surprise that the healing properties of pure aloe vera gel also have a positive effect on combating the symptoms of eczema, but not just a soothing, relieving and protecting ointment but also as an internal cleanser, building up the immune system so it can work more optimally preventing the outbreak of eczema.
Treating eczema with aloe vera juice and aloe vera gel is simple but its effectiveness depends greatly upon your commitment and the quality of the product.  Purchasing a product from a seller who can guarantee a high-quality product is extremely important for your healing success.  For that reason the manufacturing process plays an important part as many of the nutrients could get lost during harvesting.  So always purchase your aloe vera juice and gel from a reputable grower.

Nowadays, although medicines and drugs can be very effective in treating ailments, long-term use often involves side effects for patients. Consequently, more consumers and scientists are turning back to look at more traditional, natural therapies which have been long neglected. As a result, aloe vera is once again attracting attention since it can provide many benefits to our health and lifestyle. Hardly a week goes by without the benefits of aloe vera being highlighted in the 'health' pages of major national newspapers.

So, what do we at Forever Living recommend?

1. Avoid all soap products
2. Reduce the dryness of the skin by using Aloe moisturizing lotion, this in itself will reduce the itchiness.
3.Use an anti-inflammatory creme, i would recommend Aloe Propolis creme. As well as anti-inflammatory properties it also has an anti itch and antibiotic effect. Bee Propolis is a natural antibiotic found in Bee hives.
4. Treat yourself from within by drinking Aloe Vera Gel. This will help provide the newly forming skin cells at the base of the epidermis with the micro nutrients they need to develop into strong, healthy cells.

There are a selection of naturally flavoured drinking gels available (above picture)
Aloe moisturising lotion and Aloe Propolis creme i have already mentioned but there are a couple of other real life savers in our house! Aloe Gelly and Aloe Lips.
Aloe Gelly is a soothing gel that soaks in easily and provides  deep penetrating relief. It is especially good straight from the fridge (tho it can be stored at room temp.) The relief from this product is amazing on all skin conditions. we have used it for eczema, chicken pox, sunburn, wind burn, grazes and burns...it really is a wonder product.
My daughter suffers from eczema on her lips and the Aloe Lips provides instant relief and re hydrates the lips. Aloe Lips can also be used in an emergency on bites, itchy skin, burns, in fact any skin irritations. It fits easily into a bag or pocket so you can always carry it with you.

If you suffer from either type of  eczema then taking Forever Bee Propolis can also help by providing  natural immune support. (it also helps maintain a healthy respiratory system.)

Eye health, macular degeneration (AMD), cataracts, help is out there

Eye health is a subject close to my heart.

Why? Because my partner is an Optometrist (Optician) and every day he comes home with tales to tell of people who have chronic eye diseases, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataracts.

We all know that an appointment with our Optician is important for vision checks but did you know that it is also an important health check too?

Your optician can pick up early signs of a large number of health conditions as well as eye health conditions. It is really important to have regular eye checks, the earlier the diagnosis the better the prognosis. AMD and cataract incidence are growing. Worldwide, more than 25 million people are affected by age-related macular degeneration and the formation of cataracts. AMD is the leading cause of blindness in people over age 55 in the Western world and the incidence is expected to triple by 2025. (source: American Optometric Association)

If you have any of these conditions or want to maximise the chances that you won't develop any of these conditions then what can you do?

Lutein and zeaxanthin are important nutrients found in green leafy vegetables as well as other foods such as eggs. Many studies have shown that lutein and zeaxanthin reduce the risk of chronic eye diseases, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataracts.

So you could eat lots of green leafy vegetables and eggs (imagine the wind lol) or you could take just a simple supplement every day.

I have Crohns disease so both green vegetables and eggs are a real problem for me. Having Crohns disease makes me more prone to uveitis. If you have any autoimmune disease you are more prone to uveitis.
Common signs of uveitis include:
  • pain in one or both eyes
  • redness of eye
  • blurred vision
  • sensitivity to light (photophobia)
  • floaters (shadows that move across your field of vision)
It is probably one of the most frightening things I have ever experienced. I was lucky that my GP recognised it straight away and called an ambulance. YES! An ambulance!! It can be so serious that you can lose your sight. The thought of not being able to see my 5 children's faces again was and is a terrifying thought. I have started taking a supplement that contains Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Bilberry, Vitamin A and Zinc. I am so impressed. After my initial frightening experience I have had some or all of the above symptoms on several occasions.  I haven't had any signs of uveitis for 2 years now. I believe it is because of the supplement I am taking.

Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids that filter harmful high-energy blue wavelengths of light and act as antioxidants in the eye, helping protect and maintain healthy cells. Of the 600 carotenoids found in nature, only two are deposited in high quantities in the retina (macula) of the eye: lutein and zeaxanthin. The quantity of lutein and zeaxanthin in the macular region of the retina can be measured as macular pigment optical density (MPOD). Recently, MPOD has become a useful biomarker for not only predicting disease but also visual function. Unfortunately, the human body does not synthesize the lutein and zeaxanthin it needs, which is the reason why green vegetables are essential to good nutrition. Daily intake of lutein and zeaxanthin through diet, nutritional supplements, or fortified foods and beverages is important for the maintenance of good eye health. ( Source:American optometric association)

This is the supplement I take and would recommend

MAY DAY MADNESS

Its May day...Two weeks to go until my surgery. I am feeling much better with it since my pre op assessment yesterday.

I am lucky that through the NHS choose and book system I was able to see the surgeon of my choice, Darren Fern. He operates out of a private hospital only, so guess what? I get to go private on the NHS. The only things I will have to pay for are any telephone calls made from my room and meals for guests!! Maybe we will all be able to meet up and have a big dinner!

I will have a private room and bathroom. This will be lovely for the first few days but I remember from last time that I got quite lonely once I had got past the sleepy stage. I am hoping that I will have plenty of visitors. hint, hint!

When I got to the hospital yesterday I was greeted by the occupational therapist. Between us we worked out all the things I would need post op at home. She put the order in and it will all be delivered to my home before the op. I am so lucky to be in the UK, this is all provided free. I see post so often from fellow "hippies" in the states who have to pay for everything. What happens to the people who live in poverty or cannot afford insurance? Do they just suffer in pain and get to a point where they cant walk?

After seeing the occupational therapist I then saw a nurse who took my blood and talked me through the procedure etc, whilst she continued doing paperwork another nurse came in and took an MRSA swab and did an ECG. All very thorough and reassuring.

We did have a bit of a giggle when I handed back my forms as amongst them was an application to join Truro tennis club...it had got muddled in my forms (it was for my step son) but without looking at it properly I had filled in my details :-)

Todays adventure is to sign up to be a Forever Living distributor. I believe in the product so I am hoping that I will be able to make a real go of this. I have hip dysplacia and Crohn's disease and have not been able to work for a long time. I am hoping that as I can do this from home that it will work for me. John works so hard as an optometrist to provide for us all, I hope that by bringing in an income that he will be able to work less hours so that we can spend more time together.
I am hoping that being housebound following the OP that this will be something I can do to take my mind off things.

people are reading my blog!

WOW!  I thought only maybe one or two of my friends would be reading my blog BUT after clicking a link I can see that 416 people have read one or all of my blogs (i only know this because i accidently clicked something and it took me to a previously unseen page of facts and figures) if I can find it again I will be impressed. WOW 416 people and im only 4 days in!

I can see how useful a blog can be when it comes to starting up my Forever Living Aloe business next month. I am so excited about doing this. A couple of my friends are doing well in this business and because John has been using the products for 12 years I know that they are quality products. I have been using the Aloe Juice for a while now and see a big difference in my Crohn's disease...

WATCH THIS SPACE TO SEE HOW I GET ON

This is a big challenge for me as for a long time I have been unable to work because of my health. I am hoping that this is one way which i can finally contribute towards the household expenses and maybe a few treats too! :-)

Tomorrow I have my pre op check for my PAO. I am quite worried about this as I am still on antibiotics for the dreaded carbuncle and am feeling quite weak and poorly. Am hoping that 2 weeks of scrubbing with hibiscrub will mean that I test negative for MRSA. Hibiscrub tends to dry skin so am applying Aloe Gel with good effect :-)

I can hear Noah having a good old cry in his cot, he has been to playgroup this morning and should be wiped out. no rest for the wicked... I imagine this is what I will find when i go upstairs
