Top 10 reasons to start your business with Forever Living

Forever Living is a member of the Direct Selling Association, and has a wide range of products including drinks, supplements, skincare, personal care, weight management and cosmetics.

My name is Claire Burgess and I am an independent distributor for Forever Living and I LOVE it!
I am a disabled mum of five and work from home (often from my bed) Working for Forever has given me back control of my life and a real sense of purpose.

Don't be fooled by companies offering get rich quick schemes...if they worked we would all be doing them!

Setting up your business with Forever Living couldn't be easier and there is really good support from sponsors (the person who introduced you to the business) and the wider Forever community. There is brilliant training, an online tool kit and even your own website :-)

The products are fab and sell themselves...BUT...you need to be willing to work. Like i said, this is not a get rich quick scheme, this is a business opportunity

So...the 10 reasons

1. Uncapped and willable income stream. There is no limit to what you can earn, unlike working for an employer AND should anything happen to you the business and already established income can be left to anyone you choose...what a gift that would be.

2. Time and freedom to build your own life according to your dreams.  Choose your own hours, how you build your business is up to you. You can concentrate on marketing products or team building or like I do, a combination of the two.

3. Puts YOU in control of your income and your career. YOU get to choose how much you work, earn and move up from assistant supervisor through to managing teams of distributors.

4. ALL products carry a company financed, 60 day money back guarantee...so no risk to YOU or your customers.

5. Flexible - start part time and build up a full time income. You may already have a client base, particularly if you have a health/beauty background...but you will be surprised how quickly you can build a client base through family, friends or just a friendly natter on the bus with a random stranger.

6. Forever Living is a Globally established company of over 36yrs operating in nearly 150 countries...now that is success :-)

7.  Forever Living is a cash rich, debt free company - totally financially secure

8. Excellent training - Investors in People Gold and champion status awards.

9. Forever has a unique product range and are the world leaders in Aloe

10. No joining fee or minimum activity level. Of course the harder you work and build your team the higher your earnings will be.

If you are considering starting a business then remember that with FOREVER LIVING you have low start up costs, low overheads, no need for stock, no red tape, no employees...just team members and best of all access to the rewards of a car plan, profit sharing, free international travel and fun and freedom. You even get ME as your sponsor and mentor thrown in for free :-)

ULCER, CROHNS, COLITIS, IBS...dietery advice and help

Do you have an ulcer? Suffer from Crohns, Colitis or another bowel or digestion problem?

Do you want a healthier bowel or digestive tract?

If you are reading this because you have one of the conditions above then you will know that it is not much fun having any of these bowel/gut conditions. Lots of pain, wind, weight loss, weight gain, mad dashes to the bathroom etc. Read on to find some useful tips, support groups and products that could change your life.
I have had Crohns disease since my 20s...I am 43 now. With the support of my gastroenterologist I came off all prescribed medications because of side effects and looked at alternatives. I am diet controlled and part of my diet is drinking Aloe.
I have been drinking Aloe Vera Gel for four years now and have only had one episode that required steroids in that time. (Before Aloe it was at least twice a year.) AMAZING!!
I am NOT saying I am symptom free because I am not. Due to a hemi-colectomy I have short bowel syndrome and if I get my diet wrong then I suffer from bloating and wind pain.
What I AM saying is that drinking the gel and taking other Forever Products has changed my life so much that I am now able to work, go out for the day without having to worry if there is a toilet nearby.

Dietry advice and Tips

Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day instead of 3 larger meals. It is important that you avoid overeating. Frequent, smaller meals will be more comfortable and easier on the stomach than two or three large meals a day.
Eat a diet rich in fibre, especially from fruits and vegetables (unless you are on a low fibre diet)
Rest and relax a few minutes before and after each meal, as well as remaining relaxed during meals.
Eat slowly and chew you food well
Avoid eating within 3 hours before bedtime
Eat foods that are low fat
Avoid foods that are fried
Avoid foods that are spicy
Cut down on the following foods:
Coffee
Decaffeinated coffee
Black Tea
Cola drinks
Carbonated beverages
+ Citric acid found in lemons, limes, oranges, grapefruits, pineapples, fruit juices and jams
Tomato-based products
Chocolate

Avoiding certain over-the-counter pain relievers

The use of aspirin and NSAIDs (non steroidal inflammatory drugs such as ibuprofen and Aleve) can cause ulcers, or aggravate symptoms if you already have an ulcer or bowel condition. If you need to take these medicines, your doctor may prescribe another medicine to protect your stomach.

Taking a probiotic can really help symptoms .
Probiotics are live microorganisms that benefit health. Long-term use of probiotics lowers the risk of infection by H. pylori and development of ulcers.

Forever Active Probiotic
comes in beadlet form and does not need to be kept in the fridge. No more drinking those yucky little probiotic drinks...taking them is easy and taking them with you when you are out and about is easy too.
What is great with this product is that it works alongside our drinking gel. The gel provides an ideal environment for the probiotic to function. The probiotic works primarily in the colon where it aids digestion, helping to allow our gut to realease nutrients for absorption.
The unique nature of Forevers Active Probiotic means that it only releases the six beneficial strains of microbes only AFTER they reach the desired destination of the large intestine. This formulation is unique

It also DOES NOT contain wheat, yeast, gluten, dairy, corn or any artificial flavourings, colours or preservatives.

What is Forever Living Aloe Vera Gel?
Aloe Vera is a succulent plant which has over 75 known ingredients in its leaf...there will be more about this in subsequent posts. Forever Living Aloe gel is one of the purest available. Treated with care, avoiding pasteurisation, freeze drying and heating, the Aloe Vera retains its beneficial properties. Forever drinking gels are made with 100% inner leaf gel. None of the products are tested on animals. Aloe Vera can be drunk or applied to the skin and most products are even safe for animals too.

Aloe Vera is a natural "balancer" especially in the gut where it tends to regulate the various bacteria and yeasts that inhabit it. e.g - regular ingestion of the gel reduces yeast overgrowth and helps rid us of unhealthy bacteria Aloe Vera Gel - Assists in healthy digestion

A healthy digestive tract ensures that nutrients from the food we eat are absorbed into the bloodstream. There is clear and clinical evidence that by drinking Aloe vera gel the bowel is able
Aloe Vera gel contains 19 of the 20 amino acids needed by the human body and seven of the eight essential ones that just cannot be made.

By drinking the gel the body is able to get enough to allow complex enzyme systems to work really well. This means the body can function at 100% giving you a wonderful feeling of well being to absorb these nutrients more efficiently, especially protein (protein is essential in promoting healing)

Is Bee Pollen Natures Speed??

 Bee Pollen
Pollen is the male fertilising component of plant reproduction. Bees gather it and bring it back to their hives for food. Without Pollen, plants, trees and flowers could not exist. EVEN WE DEPEND ON IT! wipe out the Bee and we are all done for!

Bee Pollen provides a wide spectrum of essential nutrients all required to maintain perfect health.
*ALL vitamins of B-complex
*Vitamin C
*also contains Vitamins D, E and K
*Beta -carotene (vitamin A)
*Many trace elements (calcium and phosphorous in almost perfect 1:1 ratio)
*enzymes and co-enzymes
*plant source fatty acids
*22 amino acids (including the eight "essential" amino acids that the body cannot manufacture itself)
*carbohydrates
 *energy booster
*aids digestion
BEE POLLEN CONTAINS MORE NUTRIENTS PER CALORIE THAN ANY OTHER NUTRITIONAL  SUPPLEMENT!  WOW!

Another WOW! is that the human body could survive on Bee Pollen alone with just the addition of water and fibre...I bet all the doomsday preppers have stashes of it!

Boosts energy and stamina, and assists in maintaining a healthy circulatory, digestive, immune and nervous system. A great multi-vitamin and multi-mineral supplement that is easily absorbed. Ideal to take during the Summer months when the pollen count is high.

Eczema and Aloe Vera Products

There are two types of eczema, the type that comes from within which is known as endogenous and, more commonly, exogenous, a result of external factors such as allergy or irritants. Eczema from irritants is usually referred to as dermatitis.
Juvenile (childhood) eczema is known as 'atopic' eczema

Eczema is an inflammatory condition which can be:-

a) sudden onset, i.e acute with blister formation and weeping ('wet eczema')
                                                                or
b)chronic and dry with thickened patches and very itchy

50% of children with atopic eczema (linked also to asthma and hayfever) grow out of it but the remainder go on to develop the chronic form.

There is a long list of possible atopic dermatitis triggers.  They range from dust and allergy all the way to stress.  Doctors believe its cause can be many linked to an abnormal function of the immune system.  There has even been one research study linking eczema to an overgrowth of Candida.  People who have tried to reduce their candida in the digestive tract have significantly improved their symptoms.  Often a diet high in acidic foods especially sugars and flours can easily cause an overgrowth of candida without giving us specific symptoms.  Too many unhealthy food choices also cause an overload of toxins.  Too many toxins can also lower the immune system’s function.

I guess we all know several people who suffer from eczema. It can be more than sore, itchy and unsightly...it can also affect the way we feel about ourselves, our moods and our mental health if left untreated.

So, how can Aloe Vera help you or your friend or family member?

Aloe Vera a long list of incredible healing benefits.  It wouldn’t therefore be a surprise that the healing properties of pure aloe vera gel also have a positive effect on combating the symptoms of eczema, but not just a soothing, relieving and protecting ointment but also as an internal cleanser, building up the immune system so it can work more optimally preventing the outbreak of eczema.
Treating eczema with aloe vera juice and aloe vera gel is simple but its effectiveness depends greatly upon your commitment and the quality of the product.  Purchasing a product from a seller who can guarantee a high-quality product is extremely important for your healing success.  For that reason the manufacturing process plays an important part as many of the nutrients could get lost during harvesting.  So always purchase your aloe vera juice and gel from a reputable grower.

Nowadays, although medicines and drugs can be very effective in treating ailments, long-term use often involves side effects for patients. Consequently, more consumers and scientists are turning back to look at more traditional, natural therapies which have been long neglected. As a result, aloe vera is once again attracting attention since it can provide many benefits to our health and lifestyle. Hardly a week goes by without the benefits of aloe vera being highlighted in the 'health' pages of major national newspapers.

So, what do we at Forever Living recommend?

1. Avoid all soap products
2. Reduce the dryness of the skin by using Aloe moisturizing lotion, this in itself will reduce the itchiness.
3.Use an anti-inflammatory creme, i would recommend Aloe Propolis creme. As well as anti-inflammatory properties it also has an anti itch and antibiotic effect. Bee Propolis is a natural antibiotic found in Bee hives.
4. Treat yourself from within by drinking Aloe Vera Gel. This will help provide the newly forming skin cells at the base of the epidermis with the micro nutrients they need to develop into strong, healthy cells.

There are a selection of naturally flavoured drinking gels available (above picture)
Aloe moisturising lotion and Aloe Propolis creme i have already mentioned but there are a couple of other real life savers in our house! Aloe Gelly and Aloe Lips.
Aloe Gelly is a soothing gel that soaks in easily and provides  deep penetrating relief. It is especially good straight from the fridge (tho it can be stored at room temp.) The relief from this product is amazing on all skin conditions. we have used it for eczema, chicken pox, sunburn, wind burn, grazes and burns...it really is a wonder product.
My daughter suffers from eczema on her lips and the Aloe Lips provides instant relief and re hydrates the lips. Aloe Lips can also be used in an emergency on bites, itchy skin, burns, in fact any skin irritations. It fits easily into a bag or pocket so you can always carry it with you.

If you suffer from either type of  eczema then taking Forever Bee Propolis can also help by providing  natural immune support. (it also helps maintain a healthy respiratory system.)

Eye health, macular degeneration (AMD), cataracts, help is out there

Eye health is a subject close to my heart.

Why? Because my partner is an Optometrist (Optician) and every day he comes home with tales to tell of people who have chronic eye diseases, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataracts.

We all know that an appointment with our Optician is important for vision checks but did you know that it is also an important health check too?

Your optician can pick up early signs of a large number of health conditions as well as eye health conditions. It is really important to have regular eye checks, the earlier the diagnosis the better the prognosis. AMD and cataract incidence are growing. Worldwide, more than 25 million people are affected by age-related macular degeneration and the formation of cataracts. AMD is the leading cause of blindness in people over age 55 in the Western world and the incidence is expected to triple by 2025. (source: American Optometric Association)

If you have any of these conditions or want to maximise the chances that you won't develop any of these conditions then what can you do?

Lutein and zeaxanthin are important nutrients found in green leafy vegetables as well as other foods such as eggs. Many studies have shown that lutein and zeaxanthin reduce the risk of chronic eye diseases, including age-related macular degeneration (AMD) and cataracts.

So you could eat lots of green leafy vegetables and eggs (imagine the wind lol) or you could take just a simple supplement every day.

I have Crohns disease so both green vegetables and eggs are a real problem for me. Having Crohns disease makes me more prone to uveitis. If you have any autoimmune disease you are more prone to uveitis.
Common signs of uveitis include:
  • pain in one or both eyes
  • redness of eye
  • blurred vision
  • sensitivity to light (photophobia)
  • floaters (shadows that move across your field of vision)
It is probably one of the most frightening things I have ever experienced. I was lucky that my GP recognised it straight away and called an ambulance. YES! An ambulance!! It can be so serious that you can lose your sight. The thought of not being able to see my 5 children's faces again was and is a terrifying thought. I have started taking a supplement that contains Lutein, Zeaxanthin, Bilberry, Vitamin A and Zinc. I am so impressed. After my initial frightening experience I have had some or all of the above symptoms on several occasions.  I haven't had any signs of uveitis for 2 years now. I believe it is because of the supplement I am taking.

Lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids that filter harmful high-energy blue wavelengths of light and act as antioxidants in the eye, helping protect and maintain healthy cells. Of the 600 carotenoids found in nature, only two are deposited in high quantities in the retina (macula) of the eye: lutein and zeaxanthin. The quantity of lutein and zeaxanthin in the macular region of the retina can be measured as macular pigment optical density (MPOD). Recently, MPOD has become a useful biomarker for not only predicting disease but also visual function. Unfortunately, the human body does not synthesize the lutein and zeaxanthin it needs, which is the reason why green vegetables are essential to good nutrition. Daily intake of lutein and zeaxanthin through diet, nutritional supplements, or fortified foods and beverages is important for the maintenance of good eye health. ( Source:American optometric association)

This is the supplement I take and would recommend

MAY DAY MADNESS

Its May day...Two weeks to go until my surgery. I am feeling much better with it since my pre op assessment yesterday.

I am lucky that through the NHS choose and book system I was able to see the surgeon of my choice, Darren Fern. He operates out of a private hospital only, so guess what? I get to go private on the NHS. The only things I will have to pay for are any telephone calls made from my room and meals for guests!! Maybe we will all be able to meet up and have a big dinner!

I will have a private room and bathroom. This will be lovely for the first few days but I remember from last time that I got quite lonely once I had got past the sleepy stage. I am hoping that I will have plenty of visitors. hint, hint!

When I got to the hospital yesterday I was greeted by the occupational therapist. Between us we worked out all the things I would need post op at home. She put the order in and it will all be delivered to my home before the op. I am so lucky to be in the UK, this is all provided free. I see post so often from fellow "hippies" in the states who have to pay for everything. What happens to the people who live in poverty or cannot afford insurance? Do they just suffer in pain and get to a point where they cant walk?

After seeing the occupational therapist I then saw a nurse who took my blood and talked me through the procedure etc, whilst she continued doing paperwork another nurse came in and took an MRSA swab and did an ECG. All very thorough and reassuring.

We did have a bit of a giggle when I handed back my forms as amongst them was an application to join Truro tennis club...it had got muddled in my forms (it was for my step son) but without looking at it properly I had filled in my details :-)

Todays adventure is to sign up to be a Forever Living distributor. I believe in the product so I am hoping that I will be able to make a real go of this. I have hip dysplacia and Crohn's disease and have not been able to work for a long time. I am hoping that as I can do this from home that it will work for me. John works so hard as an optometrist to provide for us all, I hope that by bringing in an income that he will be able to work less hours so that we can spend more time together.
I am hoping that being housebound following the OP that this will be something I can do to take my mind off things.
